9 am - On Stage - Hayley Saunders - Yogi

Local Central Coastian, Hayley is a yoga teacher with everyday realism as her mission. She is passionate and insightful about anything to do with helping heal both human and non-humankind alike.

You'll find her inspirations come from nature, quantum biology, Ahimsa (to do no harm), the ocean, surfing and the creation of art and alchemy.

Hayley brings a unique element of mixing the sweet parts of yoga together (both strength and stretching) based on thousands of years of traditional Hatha, intertwining, intuitive & functional movement, soul and breath work and philosophy into a juicy practice of yoga, remembering it's not just about the asana (pose) but the response to the asana.

With inspiration from travelling, life experiences and over 12 years of teaching yoga, meditation, breath work and dance, she will help facilitate a re-membering of who you really are in a supportive space, feeling deeply into what you need, more connected to your body and life itself.

Hayley runs her Yoga/PT/Coaching service out of the beautiful Pearl Beach village on the Central Coast just 1 hour north of Sydney. She is also an exercise specialist providing online, personal training/yoga sessions 1:1 and group bookings and facilitating space at events.

Hayley always aspires to find the will to learn and grow, recognising it starts with self through challenges of adversity, habits and healing. One must look within to be able to grow with others.

Completely vegan for nearly 10 years, Hayley's daughter Miyah and her have 4 rescue chickens, 2 gifted bunny rabbits and plentiful wildlife in their backyard of the national park. They hope one day to create a retreat rescue sanctuary on fertile land to collaboratively return to harmony to earth. ❤️

Feel free to join class as we join Alive Fest for the first time, where everyone is welcome to join the yoga class, move, breath and have fun as we connect with an all-inclusive practice, to start the day off sharing the space with love 🌱

12 pm - Valerita Ramirez - The Divine Feminine - in conversation with Amelia Foxton

“It all started when I declared myself and the label as feminist and Yogitown became YONITOWN. The process involved lots of self-inquiry and study in the women's equality movements that always have been present throughout history.”

About Valerita

Valerita studied fashion design. Her passion for clothes was born when she realised that they could be used as a medium to express and communicate our unique persona.

She founded Yonitown, a label devoted to crafting feminist art and clothing that embodies the innate feminine energy inherent in all individuals, regardless of gender. Our collection of feminist wearables is a catalyst for empowerment. By offering more than feminist t-shirts designed to ignite conversations we aim to create feminine feminist clothing that celebrates womanhood and the sanctity of the womb.

“We’re proud to be a female-founded, female-run business.”

“I chose courage as my close companion and as a pillar for the new chapter of Yonitown because declaring myself as a feminist was not easy. I was full of doubts and uncertainty about what was going to happen if I presented against what was most comfortable. In the beginning, I was and angry feminist fuelled with rage, I got tired of explaining and excusing myself for what things were done differently. Along the way, I realised that education and inclusivity was the best way to create change.

“I intend to speak up and to spread encouragement to those who are still silenced.

“Our commitment is that in every step of the supply chain we choose the most sustainable alternative for the environment. The materials used in our pieces are plant-based, and whenever possible they are organically grown. We also search for ‘dead stock’ materials and fabrics, this is a term created by fast fashion to label what has been discarded due to changes in trends, we find this material to bring them back to life.

“Our tees are organic cotton and certified ethically made by the Fair Wear Foundation.

“Yonitown exists as a call to reflect and question the belief system we all live in. My art is how I contribute to dismantling the patriarchy. It is my attempt to create an inclusive invitation to accept the feminine energy into our lives despite our sexuality, age, race, species, or social class.

“My motive comes from the heart, I do it invoking courage as a sacred act where many others can feel recognised and empowered.”

Valerita will speak on stage at 12 pm, hosted by Amelia Foxton where they will talk about patriarchal conditioning and the power of art to make a kinder world.
